888 Ladies Review - Not Recommended

888 Ladies launched in 2008, and it’s not a play on the old ‘two fat ladies’ bingo call – it is so named because it belongs to the well established 888 gaming brand.

The website operates on the popular Dragonfish software which belongs to Cassava Enterprises Ltd (it’s all still 888 essentially), which has hundreds of sites running on its network, so there are always plenty of people playing in the various bingo rooms here.

888 Ladies is a real haven for all things bingo, and goes much further than simply running a few bingo rooms and hosting some side games. There are very detailed game guides, advice and tips, and a great blog with all sorts of interesting bingo articles.

The site was created as an addition to 888 Bingo, and specifically targets the female market of the online Bingo community. You might have come across one of their funny TV commercials if you live in the UK, Vic Reeves was in some of them.

Using the Website

888 Ladies is a brilliant website that bingo lovers will naturally warm to, but it feels like two separate websites in one. Both are easy to navigate but this approach does have its drawbacks.

The homepage has a more traditional layout with a bingo schedule and tabs to go to other areas of the site all laid out down the middle of the page. However, when you go to play a game the bingo lobby opens and this is an all together different beast, much more contemporary and intuitive. The thing is, you can only do so much from the lobby, you need to manually go back to the homepage to access things like the blog.

The platform has undergone quite a few makeovers over the years, the most recent being in 2016. This saw the site gain a softer, more classy feel, and the pink girly theme is now much less obvious than it used to be – if you can believe that.

The site has much more depth than most other bingo focused sites though, and there is plenty to explore besides the games.

Blog & Guides

When we mentioned that 888 Ladies go further than most other bingo brands this is the sort of thing we meant.

Their blog is not some afterthought either, it is jam packed with easy to read articles on strategy, fun facts, insight pieces, helpful advice, and all the information on bingo chat etiquette and terms that you could want. There are even articles that show you how certain games were developed.

The game guides are another highlight and perfect for players who want to maybe branch out to a new game type or for anyone new to online bingo.

They are extremely thorough and come with visual aides and graphics that really help to explain what is being talked about.

Honestly, they couldn’t make these sections of their site better if they tried.
