Best Online Bingo Chat Rooms

chatting on devicesPlaying online Bingo is not just about trying to win (well maybe a little bit), it is also about the chat, the banter and that human to human engagement that takes place in the online bingo chat room.  It is the only online game that is like this and it that is because it is based on real bingo, which is as much about socalising as it is playing.

In just about every online bingo game I have played there are some chat exchanges happening between players.  You will be sure to see a GL; ‘Good luck’ popping up from someone just as ticket sales close and the game begins, followed by a WDW ‘Well done winner’ after each prize is announced.  There will often be that cheeky moan about the bingo caller getting the number wrong but most importantly friendly roomies or hosts will ask how you are doing or engage in some kind of chat.

And so there begins a lovely bit of gab and a conversation that can happen, any time any where when playing online bingo.

We thought it would be really helpful to find out how chatty bingo chat rooms actually are and what goes on during the games in the typical online bingo chat room, especially as we know that online bingo game play has soared in numbers during recent times.  It constantly grows in popularity and players of all types join in day by day.   There are simply tonnes of sites to play on with all sorts of bingo games and budgets yet there is always that chat room waiting for you to enter and enjoy.

This guide will give you some tried and tested examples of what you can expect when you visit an online bingo chat room.  In addition to our reviews on BingoWebsites, we know this guide will help you so you can really get under the skin of the bingo website and find that perfect fit bingo chat room for you and possibly even make new friends along the way or just enjoy a good old chinwag.

We have chosen a selection of well known online bingo websites that are run by different software companies so that we are covering a varied spectrum of online bingo.

How Have We Tested Out The Chat Room: Our Criteria

tick checklistTo make this a fair and useful guide, we have ensured we carried out the following for each bingo site:

  • Deposited and played with £10 on each site
  • Played online bingo using the £10 plus any bonus funds made available over a period of 7 consecutive days over 10 sessions
  • Played between 15 minutes and 1 hour each session
  • Played in all bingo rooms available including site specific and shared network games
  • Playing at various times of the day and every day of the week.
  • Visiting rooms with various numbers of players.

The Chat Room

Chat RoomI simply went with the flow and initiated some light conversation in each room.  This may have been a ‘hello everyone’ or ‘GLE1’ or ‘How is everyone doing today’.  I also asked some, unplanned / in the moment specific type questions, possibly about anything going on in the news or on TV at that time or the weather or even something random like what I had eaten that day.  Nothing too intense, just the sorts of things you might start chatting to someone about, if you were at a real bingo hall or even at a bus stop lets say.

During some of the games I stayed quiet in the chat room to see what others were chatting about then joined in with the flow of that chat, adding comments, banter, quips and jokes.

I joined in with that wonderful praise that takes place in bingo chat rooms, congratulating winners, commiserating those that only had 1 number left to go and having a bit of a moan about the random number generator.  Along with shouting (typing) out the numbers I needed or how many left to go to win a line or full house, I also participated in some chat room games that were ran by the chat room hosts.

Gala Bingo Chat Room Experience

Quick Summary

Gala Bingo runs on Playtech software, which is one the worlds largest online gaming software providers, and has been since it was established in 1999.  A large number of other online gaming sites are also run by Playtech (formerly Virtue Fusion).

Gala Bingo screengrab

When in Gala Bingo chat rooms I engaged with someone at some point in every game and every room, however, in pretty much most chat rooms I initiated the conversation.  The players are very keen to shout out their numbers and if they have one or two numbers left to go.

Busiest Chat Time/ The Chattiest Times

busy times

Interestingly, it didn’t really make a difference to the room chat depending on the time of day I played.  Rooms were just as chatty in the early afternoon as they were at 8.00pm in the evening.  One of the longest chats with the most people joining in I had was with people about food shopping (of all things), was around 1.00pm on a weekday.

The speedy games were not chatty at all purely because the games happen so fast and people seem to be focused on the numbers and their cards or they have pre-purchased and are not physically in the online chat room.

Gala has lots of players ‘shouting’ out 1TG, 2TG as well as the specific numbers they need to win.  This seemed to be the most common way players were communicating along with wishing each other luck and congratulating players on wins.

The most fun I had chatting was during the evening, the chat was light and just flowed, which meant that I stayed playing longer and when I finished playing I felt like I had met some new people.  I felt like I had socialised.

Player Type

different player type

There were a lot of chat room names that included the words nanna, granny, nan.  This suggests that there are mature ladies playing regularly.  Players on Gala often put the year they were born tagged into their chat room name with many having dates between 1950 – 1970 listed, which also suggests older players.  There seemed to be more female dominated chat names, using female names.

There was not a huge amount of bingo lingo chat which actually made it easier to talk to people, suggesting people were playing on a tablet or laptop. Players also didn’t really use the emoji symbols available, they were typing 1TG or 2TG instead.

Chat Room Host Presence

chat host

Chat room hosts were rarely present, only encountering 2 hosts over the 7 day period played.  When they were present they were in random games; there was no particular trend (i.e. in busier rooms).

On one occasion I started chatting to a host who was in the Philippines, they were very much participating in the flow of the chat and very pleasant, talking about the weather over there, they didn’t initiate conversation, simply joining in and answering logistical / help based questions.  However, at one point the host disappeared then upon retuning said he had lost power to his computer due to a storm!

Chat Room Games

No chat room games popped up when I was playing, nor was there any promotions detailed by a host.

Any Moaners Having A Moan

annoyed players

I didn’t really come across too many complainers, mainly just comments made in jest about the random number generator calling out the wrong balls; blaming ‘Bob’ because people didn’t win.

I never experienced any uncomfortable moments during my bingo game play and chat with Gala.

Regular Player Community

Gala chat boxThere is definitely a sense of people playing regularly in the same room at the same time and certainly knowing fellow players.  I didn’t come across lengthy conversations taking place between a few players as its likely they were using the private chat option but there were lots of hellos to specific players.

I got chatting to one player that always visits a particular bingo room as she likes the cheap tickets and it starts just as she gets home from work, she pre-bought her tickets for the days she worked.

Gala Bingo chat rooms are exclusive to Gala, so are not shared with any other site.  However it was confusing that some chat rooms had many many people listed as online in that room which was very different to the number of actual players in the bingo game.

For example there were over 240 names listed as present in the All Sorts Bingo Room yet only 42 people actually playing.  This could be because people haven’t logged out, the website hasn’t updated, people are in the chat rooms but not playing bingo but still it remains a bit of a mystery.

Mecca Bingo Chat Room Experience

Quick Summary

Mecca run on Playtech software too and has a the same interface as Gala, just with different games to play.  Mecca does share its games with Kitty Bingo as they are both owned by The Rank Group.

mecca bingo screengrab

Mecca bingo chat rooms have a really friendly atmosphere.  The chat hosts make you feel very welcome and are genuinely interested to get to know the players despite the vast numbers at times, and because of this, the player community seems really strong and people are making genuine friendships whilst enjoying the bingo.

Busiest Chat Time/ The Chattiest Times

busy timesThe bingo rooms on Mecca were always fairly busy, however the rooms were certainly more quiet during the morning than around 8.00pm to 10.00pm in the evening.

During the evening, Mecca are running their big prize games with special guests and singers and over 1000 people in some cases were playing and counted as being in the chat room.

During one of my sessions in the evening I engaged with 14 other players in various conversations.  I felt like I was on a night out and made loads of new friends.  I really enjoyed this experience.

Player Type

different player type

Mecca seems to appeal to all ages but predominantly women judging by the types of chat names.  There are some daft and cheeky names in use which players may have regretted choosing because you can’t easily change your chat name once it is set.

The design of Mecca is pink and purple so it does have a more feminine feel about it.  Many of the players had small children as they mentioned picking children up from school or putting kids to bed which could suggest that a number of players are average of 25-45 years.

Many many players love to use the emoji buttons to communicate in chat, which on Mecca are quite cleverly chosen. This means that you can easily respond to jokes and feel like you are part of the fun and joining in without having to type too much.

Chat Room Host Presence

chat host

Mecca has a very active host presence, in fact there was a host present more often than not.  Without fail, they always responded to a question or an initial ‘hello everyone’ from me.  The host always asked me how I was and asked if I needed any help.  Feel free to ask them questions.

The host ran some chat games which seemed to be popular amongst players and they also started conversations.  The host told me on on occasion that they are always present in two rooms but the swap over every hour.

When I played at around 8pm, there were obviously players that were regulars as the chat host was asking them more personalised questions.  Even though I was new to the room, the host was very engaging and included me in the chat.

I learnt that a number of the hosts were based outside of the UK, one host being in Mauritius.  She was very very friendly and said to all players that we were more than welcome to visit her in Mauritius.  I could sense this particular host had quite a few fans, potentially players choosing the room that she was hosting in because she ran lots of games and was really chatty to everyone.  Just imagine if we all turned up to Mauritius.

Chat Room Games

quiz

The chat room games were a lot of fun and loads of players always participated.  A popular game was for players to watch the balls as they are drawn and when a ball with the number 1 in it is drawn they need to type ‘Kellys Eye’, followed by the number’.

It wasn’t always the first person to answer correctly that would scoop the prize, which was bonus funds or small amounts of cash (50p), the host said the prize goes to the fifth person to respond.

Any Moaners Having A Moan

annoyed players

I did come across a few moaners, players suggesting games are rigged and the same players always winning, spending loads of money and not winning a thing.

This only every happened in rooms without a host presence.  I didn’t engage overly with these players, as you never know how much others are playing with (unless they tell you, which many did).

Interestingly, I did experience a player being a tad on the rude side, not offensive or aimed at anyone but just a bit below the belt with some comments and the host was very quick to remind the player of appropriate language and the chat room rules.  The host did this in a tactful manner which meant nobody felt awkward after the comments had been shared.

Regular Player Community

Mecca chat boxMecca definitely has a lot of regular players and certainly the chat rooms are pretty chatty places to be.  People were much more open to chat in the Mecca rooms, discussing tattoos, what people were eating for lunch  / dinner, what people were watching on the TV at that time and even chatting about random acts of kindness players had done to others.

The chat hosts seem to work hard to foster this chatty friendly atmosphere.  Accessing the chat room was easiest using my laptop, however there were never issues with the Mecca app when joining in using my mobile device. You can see who is on a mobile device there there is a small mobile phone symbol attached to the chat comments those players make.

Some of the Special Bingo rooms such as Burst and Emoji Bingo and Best Odds Bob have shared chat rooms, so when you are chatting along with playing a game of bingo, not everyone is playing the same game which took away from the atmosphere a little for me.  These rooms were also on the whole much quieter that the traditional bingo game rooms so I tended not to play and chat so much in them.

Bingocams Chat Room Experience

Quick Summary

bingocams logoBingocams is run by B-Livegaming, proprietary software run and developed in house.  They have been around for what seems like forever, the were the first online bingo website with a webcam function launched in the UK in 2011 and over 10 years on, during the explosion of bingo white labels, they continue as being the only site with the webcam facility.

Bingocams chat room experience really was a mixed bag for me.  During some visits I was actually laughing out loud at some of the comments being made by fellow players and chat host, yet other times I couldn’t engage with anyone for want of trying.

Bingocams has a traditional independent Bingo hall feel about it.  It is unique to every other site I have played on and definitely has its niche in the online bingo market.  It doesn’t have loads of rooms open for bingo 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; it had about 4-5 rooms, and of those rooms, only 1 or 2 were open at a time.  Bingocams is definitely aimed at the traditional bingo hall type player with set times that people log on to play.

Busiest Chat Time/ The Chattiest Times

busy timesBingocams appear to have a dedicated customer base that play the same bingo games routinely.  I noticed that a fair number of the same players were popping up for the 8.00pm – 9.00pm games which were obviously prime time games.

From all of the bingo chat rooms I have been in, Bingocams certainly has the least number of people active in the room but at its busy prime time it was by no means the quietest.

If I played a bingo game during the day time, there were probably up to 10 others maximum but I simply could not engage in any kind of chat with anyone.  I did wonder if there were actual players present.  It was a lonely old place to be, quite different to the evening.

When I played at 8.00pm at night it was a totally different feel, it was busier but again only with up to 50 players (not like other sites with over 1000 players). This didn’t matter at all because the host was great fun.  Uniquely on Bingocams, the host has their webcam switched on, so if you are accessing the website on your laptop or PC you can see the webcam of the host in the top right hand corner.  I really liked this because it made the chat and the banter real.  I felt like I got good value for money and some live entertainment.

Player Type

different player type

The players on Bingocams seem to be your traditional ‘for the love of the game’ type.  They appear to live and breath the game and are up for a good old chuckle with the host along the way.

Alongside your chat name, you can upload an image.  This is an excellent feature, because you are more likely to remember an image over a chat name.  Some of the chat name images were totally dedicated to bingo, some people had photos of their head and shoulders and some used some pretty hilarious memes or jokes.

There is the option to switch on your webcam and it will record your win moment although I never actually saw anyone’s win moment, only pre-recorded ones that were on the website homepage.  I’m not sure this function is widely used, but still a fun added touch to make the game feel more authentic.  I know they do themed nights where players are encouraged to dress up in fancy dress and switch on their webcam.  That would be quite fun to do I think, sadly there were none planned during the time I played.

The rate at which the balls are called means that you could actually follow your tickets and numbers so I can imagine that lots of players on Bingocams love to watch their bingo tickets get dabbed which mimics real life bingo pretty well.  Because of this, there were times that there was no chat going on – especially when there was a really good chance of winning a jackpot.

Chat Room Host Presence

chat host

I came across two hosts in my chat room odyssey with Bingocams.  One host was great fun, very attentive and quick witted and the other probably needn’t have even been present, they didn’t really add anything in addition to saying good luck and well done over and over again.  Maybe they were just having a bad day, who knows.

Having the host on a webcam was a great touch and it was funny seeing their facial expressions responding to comments I and others were typing.  The host started conversations such as ‘is there anything your partner does to annoy you’ and a debate arouse around whether hot chocolate was improved if you add Baileys.

These conversation starters worked and people joined in.  It was a great experience.  The host has got to know his regular players and the banter between them keeps rolling and rolling which is quite amusing for onlookers like me.

Chat Room Games

quiz

Chat room games on Bingocams when run by particular hosts were absolutely brilliant.  I loved them.  Again, they took a very different approach to chat room games as experienced on other sites but they were fun.

One of the games I joined in asked you to pick a number, which then remained yours for a few days (there was some criteria to this but I cant be sure what exact details were). The host had a gift bag with physical pieces of paper inside which he simply pulled out a number at random.  If it was your number then you could spin the wheel,  which offered different prizes.

These prizes were very small but the fun part was the process and joining in.  Of course some players may take issue with the fairness around this, but I guess those types of players are just not really suited to Bingocams chat room games.

Any Moaners Having A Moan

annoyed players

Non what so ever.  Everyone seems to be really content with Bingocams and their approach to online bingo.  They have been around for ages and its possible they have a long standing customer base that knows its a great game and above all, a game of luck.

Having the host on the videocam also makes a huge difference, with the visibility it gives players a sense of security which in turn reduces and likelihood of groaners.

Regular Player Community

Bingocams had the strongest player community when people were chatty which was definitely during the evenings.  Players know each other and the host has got to know players well enough to make friendly jokes about each other.

The players are cheeky and a little bit below the belt with innuendo comments at times which I think if they were making similar comments on another bingo site, the host would quickly quash.  Loads of jokes flying around might not be everyone’s cup of tea.

The players are very quick to congratulate each other on their wins or wish each other luck when they only have 1 number to go.  This had a nice warm feel to the chat room as players were genuinely sharing and celebrating wins together.

Coral Bingo Chat Room Experience

Quick Summary

Coral is famous for its high street betting shops and online sports betting.  They have recently moved away from the Playtech platform to Entain’s own Electaworks Network (formerly Cozy Games) so only recently has the site interface completely changed (2020).

coral bingo screengrab

Coral Bingo actually feels quite sterile, all of the games seem identical with minimal difference in theme or game feel. The interface for the chat room is simplistic.

No host presence to spark conversation or initiate games.  I Sense that people are not bothered about the authenticity of the game, they pre-buy the tickets and don’t have any desire to chat in the rooms.

Busiest Chat Time/ The Chattiest Times

busy times

When I played on my mobile phone sadly the whole app kept freezing, I needed to refresh page which meant I lost chat history.  I played at all times of the day but unfortunately something kept going wrong with the connection.

I actually got pretty frustrated with my mobile phone in the end and I switched back to playing on my laptop.  The chat function on mobile phones is very difficult to use.  I made a comment and for a good while nobody responded and tumbleweed may well have rolled over my key board, then finally a little comment popped up from a female type username who responded.

This one little comment made me feel warm and fuzzy because I genuinely thought nobody was out there in the Coral bingo world.

Player Type

different player type

User names are very mixed and there do seem to be more masculine type names than noticed on other bingo websites.

This is likely to be because Coral is predominately a sportsbook betting website and players maybe play a bit of bingo on the side with some loose change they have in their account.  We also know that even though online bingo is more popular with women, men love playing it as well.

Chat Room Host Presence

No host.  I played loads of games in the hope I might come across one.  They say they have hosts so maybe I just kept dodging them.

Chat Room Games

No games.  Similar to the host, they may well have ran some games but not on my watch.

Any Moaners Having A Moan

annoyed players

Came across an interesting comment from one player saying that Coral have loads of ‘Bots’ which are fake accounts that win over and over again.

I checked this with the Live Chat and Coral were very helpful saying that they didn’t have bots, that many players pre buy their tickets with Coral so it has a different feel in the chat rooms.

Regular Player Community

I get the impression that players were not visiting the Coral bingo lobby exclusively.  It felt a bit like players might be used the betting website for other bets and dabbled in a bit of bingo on the side.

That said, there where quite a few players so it obviously is popular. But it just didn’t hit the spot for my chatting needs.

Bucky Bingo Chat Room Experience

Quick Summary

Bucky Bingo is on the Dragonfish network which powers a huge number of bingo websites all with a different feel and USP.  Bucky Bingo moved over to Dragonfish from Playtech in 2020.

Bucky Bingo screengrab

Bucky is all about the 24/7 bingo with big jackpots.  It didn’t feel like the kind of site you would visit if you fancied a chat whilst you play.

The chat rooms are combined together so there is little intimacy or real time sharing in the moment, people are shouting out numbers that don’t correspond to your game so you cant help but feel like you have walked into the wrong shop.  That said, the hosts do a marvellous job at the bingo chat games and you can wrack up loyalty points if you join in and win.

Busiest Chat Time/ The Chattiest Times

I couldn’t really tell which were the busiest times.  Bucky was busy most of the day.  They promote as 24/7 bingo so it had a revolving door feel to it.

Player Type

different player type

Mixed bag of usernames at Bucky.  Something that did make me wipe my glasses was seeing the same couple of usernames over and over again.

There must be some real bingo lovers on Bucky to be playing very frequently.

Chat Room Host Presence

chat host

There was a host constantly present, although it seemed to me,  based on the feel of the chat, that the host could have been sometimes human and sometimes automated.  It was hard to tell because often the host said good luck or hello in response to me starting to chat, yet other times the host ignored my hello and was very busy posting tonnes and tonnes of good luck messages and images.

As the rooms are combined into one, in the evening there can be over 800 players in one room.  This made it very hard to engage with anyone in a genuine conversation.  The host seemed to flood the chat feed with good luck messages and sprinkle fairy dust type messages, again which suggests it could be an automated host.   In any case because the host was going mad with the comments in the room, there was no chance any player could get a word in edgeways.

Chat Room Games

quiz

The host runs some fun games which award you loyalty points.  If you answer a quiz question correctly, you get some loyalty points added to your account; 1000 points equal £1 cash.

The quiz questions are general knowledge and enjoyable to have a go at.  Interestingly there were loads of games that were running that didn’t seem to have many, if any participants.  This did make me wonder what was going on, but with hundreds of people all combined in one room, perhaps players thought they had no chance in winning the chat room games so just sat them out.

Any Moaners Having A Moan

Didn’t come across any miseries.  This is likely because of the host presence.

Regular Player Community

I genuinely couldn’t get a feel if there was a player community or not, this is down to the size of the chat room (all rooms being combined) with people shouting out numbers that are nothing to do with the game you are playing, but even this only happening sporadically. Having said that, the bingo games were great and really easy to navigate around.

Interestingly there were two or three VERY regular players that always responded to my ‘Hello everyone’ comment, but nothing more if I asked a question.  They were there playing day in day out at all different times of the day.

BGO Bingo Chat Room Experience

Quick Summary

BGO uses the same interface, being the Playtech software, as Gala and Mecca so there was real familiarity for my first visits to the site.  There are a mix of busy and quiet times throughout the day.  The hosts are very welcoming and skilfully engage in relaxed conversation.

BGO screen grab

Busiest Chat Time/ The Chattiest Times

busy times

3pm and 8pm were very popular times for some games.  The chat rooms were buzzing and the host was clearly working hard to ensure as many players as possible felt involved and welcomed.

BGO chat rooms were always ready and waiting for players to satisfy their chin wagging needs.

Player Type

different player type

BGO players felt similar to those over on Mecca and Gala.  I sense the feeling that players that have an account with Mecca and / or Gala are probably going to have an account with BGO too.

One fellow player said they had to go because they were cooking dumplings for a stew, which then lead to a quick discussion about dumplings being soft or crunchy.

On another visit a group of 7 players, including myself were debating the best cheese.  Players were trying to remember the brand name of a particular pineapple and nut flavoured soft cheese and it certainly got people talking.  This chat had a really casual relaxed, real life , non forced feel to it.  I could have carried on chatting and playing very easily.

Chat Room Host Presence

chat host

There seems to be a host present in most rooms, most of the time.  However using the chat room function on my mobile was very hit and miss.  I couldn’t be sure if people just were not chatting or the software was failing on me.  I actually felt a bit disappointed at this because I enjoyed BGO chat so much and didn’t want to have to fire up the laptop each time.

When I played on my laptop and the chat room was working as it should be, the chat host on a number of occasions said hello to me pretty much as soon as I purchased some tickets.  I liked this, really made me feel welcome.  The chat hosts, like in Gala and Mecca didn’t necessarily instigate conversation topics, they went with the flow, however typical conversations such as the weather, what people have been up to whilst at home during lockdown and what people are going to eat for tea cropped up a lot.  But lets face it, these are the types of conversations we have in real life, so I was happy here.

Chat Room Games

quiz

I didn’t come across that many games being lead by the hosts whilst I was in the chat room, I caught the tail end of some but I couldn’t say what the game was, there was just a message ‘CHAT GAME FINISHED’.

The one game I did come across and join in with was great fun and possibly the best organised chat room game I came across.  It was called Shake and Vac; you picked a number and when that number was called, you type VAC then the number you chose.  The first person to get the number won 75p credit.

The host listed players that she knew had agreed to play the game and asked if players had deposited within the last 7 days as this was a game play rule, so it felt much more organised than on some websites when chat room games were a bit of a bun fight at times.

Any Moaners Having A Moan

annoyed players

None – as there is a heavy host presence.  I found that players were more likely to show how miffed they were at not winning and using the ‘that player always wins’ chestnut when there was no host presence.  Like being cheeky when the school teacher nips out the room!

Regular Player Community

There are definitely some rooms that people are chatting away in and others that you don’t hear a peep other than the number shouting.  In my experience of playing, I didn’t notice, like on other websites players knowing each other from previous games maybe this was because they were chatting in a private room.

mFortune Bingo Chat Room Experience

Quick Summary

Totally different to any other site, mFortune is run on its own independent network and has a very different feel, making it a unique place to visit in the world of online bingo chat rooms.

mFortune bingo screengrab

mFortune, a British based, award winning company, run by Intouch gaming is outstanding at providing a great chat room experience, coupled with its original and exclusive bingo games.  It feels so different to other bingo websites, which definitely works for those that like a chat when they play.

There is ALWAYS someone to chat to no matter what time of the day with really friendly hosts that start conversations and keep the chat flowing.  mFortune Bingo has a magnificent mobile app which means you can chat away on your mobile just as easy as you would on your laptop or PC.

Busiest Chat Time/ The Chattiest Times

busy times

mFortune is a chatty and friendly place no matter what time of the day you want to play some bingo and meet new people.  During the day it feels more chilled and players seem to be more chatty than during the evening when everyone seems to be a bit more focused on winning those jackpots.

That said the hosts are clearly working hard to engage in conversation, get to know the players and keep the conversations flowing.  As the rooms are exclusive to mFortune, there are not hundreds of players in the rooms which means that you are more likely to recognise peoples usernames and the hosts will start conversations with you personally.  Every time I entered the room within the first few minutes, the host said hello to me and asked me how I was.  I felt like a valued customer.

Player Type

different player type

As you can assign yourself an avatar image when you set your username – anything from a cartoon face to a fruit to an animal (loads of choice) you can quickly tell there are a lot more females playing than males.

mFortune also have a function to send other players charms.  They are simply there to give you luck and are a nice touch to be able to share the luck.  I was chatting with the host about my family and he gave me a pot of gold charm.  Would you believe it made me feel so happy?!

Chat Room Host Presence

chat host

There is always a host present.  They may be hosting 2-3 separate rooms at a time but they are the most engaging and active hosts I have experienced on a bingo website.  As soon as you enter the bingo room, the chat box pops up with the last few chat exchanges on so you can have a quick scroll to see what the topic of conversation is.

I haven’t come across other sites that do this so slickly.  It means that you can naturally carry on the conversation and not feel pressured to pipe up the first time.  Whether you are on your laptop or mobile device, you can see exactly the same amount of chat, again which is unique to mFortune.  The only slight criticism is that at any one time, you can only see about 3 – 4 chat comments.  I just wish the box was a big bigger, like many other the other bingo websites tested.

Chat Room Games

quiz

mFortune didn’t seem to run any chat games like I experienced on the other bingo websites.  The hosts are more focussed on keeping the chat flowing.  They did run some competitions to win amazon vouchers and different prizes, however these were by a separate prize draw that you entered outside of the chat room.

The hosts are excellent and super nice people that genuinely seem to want to have a good old chin wag, but at times some of the hosts were getting a bit frantic with asking questions that sadly nobody engaged with or seemed to want to answer.  The host was asking if people had tattoos, what their favourite season was, if people supported a particular charity and the list goes on.  It did make me wonder if they added some chat room games it might just make the perfect balance.  But perhaps those quiet players than don’t want to chat might enjoy just reading what others say.

On one occasion the chat host very respectfully asked a player to be kind to fellow winners.  A player expressed how cross they were that they were not winning and I liked the stance the host took by reminding said player that its unkind to be cross at other players as its a game of luck.

The host then really sweetly said, ‘I wish you loads of luck so you win’  Other than that one occasion, the mood was really kind and there were loads of ‘WDs’ flying around when players were winning and people were chatting in great spirit.

Regular Player Community

Interestingly I didn’t notice if there was a regular player community.  Id like to think there is as the hosts work so well to keep conversation flowing.  You can count on mFortune hosts for a lovely conversation so I’m sure others would feel the same.

Dove Bingo Chat Room Experience

Quick Summary

Dove Bingo is run by Jumpman Gaming alongside many other bold and catchy bingo websites.

I registered with Dove, had a mooch around the bingo lobby, picked a game and then noticed they don’t have chat rooms attached to most of the games.

Oh well.

Dove Bingo Screengrab

A couple do but they are not active at all.  From the screen grab below, you can see the history over a few days and it seems to be more of complaint platform.

Even though there were no active chat rooms, the bingo was pretty good fun as always.

Kitty Bingo Chat Room Experience

Quick Summary

Kitty Bingo is currently run by Daub Alderney, now owned by the Rank Group who own Mecca, so it feels pretty much like Mecca’s baby lion cub.  It pretty much offers everything Mecca does however only has two chat rooms that combine across various bingo rooms; The Chatter Box and The Natter Box.

The hosts are really friendly and always responded to my hello’s and comments but fellow players seem to be quiet as mice at Kitty.

Busiest Chat Time/ The Chattiest Times

busy times

Having visited the site a number of times over the week I couldn’t help but notice there was never really that many players in the chat rooms with often under 30 names listed, yet there were vast numbers of players with purchased tickets, suggesting that most players were over on the Mecca Bingo website or they pre buy their tickets and don’t physically ‘play’ the game.

I did have a few random chats here and there, but mainly with the host in the room.  Whilst it was fab to engage I did get that tingling feeling that the host is probably being paid to chat to me so there wasn’t that genuine connection.

Player Type

different player type

As experienced on many of the sites, chat room names and player user names are heavily dominted with female type names, but there were a few male names and lots of dates of births added which covered a broad range of dates.

I noticed a lot of incomprehensible usernames, for example one similar to: “yyyyyppplll555”.  These stood out more to me because it made me wonder who or what that user actually was.

Chat Room Host Presence

chat host

The chat room hosts at Kitty were really friendly and pretty much always said hello if I posted a comment in the chat room.

I commented to one that I noticed the room was very quiet and she responded saying that the room chat is fairly quiet at Kitty but there are some chatty players that often play around 6pm and 8pm in the evenings.

Chat Room Games

quiz

There were not as many chat room games as I had experienced at other sites, they seemed to be played routinely at 6pm each day and the chat room was a bit more lively then, however the chat was focussed around shouting out numbers or 2TG or 1TG or the answer to the chat games.

Any Moaners Having A Moan

Yes, sadly there were quite a few, people suggesting the site is rigged and commenting that they never win and they are leaving the site.

Regular Player Community

I genuinely didn’t notice if there were any regular players like I could at Bingocams and Mecca.

Which Bingo Site Has The Best Chat Room Experience?

best quality rosetteGala, Mecca and BGO  gave me the best overall experience of chatting in their chat rooms. There were other players that were looking for a conversation and a chat just like me and I genuinely didn’t feel like I was asking questions to a brick wall which is what some of the other sites chat room felt like.

Though it has to be said, they were all great and had a slightly different feel so its easy to find the right online bingo site to suit you.

I learnt very quickly that if you want to go all out chatting, you need to be the one to initiate conversation.  Once you have done that people do love to join in.

When you play online bingo, do have a chat in the chat room, it really does add to the game experience.

Happy chatting!
